SERENE SETTING
The central location is perfect for exploring Tuscany, yet the quiet and warm welcome you receive also ensures you enjoy your time at the villa
Villa Loghino is a B&B set in a villa from the early 1700s at the foot of a wooded hill by the Era river. Just 6km from Volterra, the country setting has many trails winding through the woods and along the river, inviting guests to explore on foot or horseback (which the hosts can organize).
Completely surrounded by the various tones of nature, the B&B makes a great base for exploring the main Tuscan cities as well as the coast and its beaches. The two double bedrooms, called Il Sole and Re Quercia, have each their own private bathroom, a mini-fridge and kettle as well as air conditioning and garden views. A delicious breakfast welcomes each guest every morning, with many homemade treats by Alessia herself.
The apartments, Frutteto, Noce and Fonte, have their own kitchen/living area as well as private outdoor terrace space. Two of the apartments have disabled accessible bathrooms while one (La Fonte) can host up to 4 guests in its two bathrooms. Extra single beds can be added to the rooms and apartments upon request. If you wish, you can join in on the delicious breakfasts that Alessia prepares, in the garden or in your own room.
The spacious gardens surrounding the property invite guests to sit and enjoy the quiet while sipping a glass of wine or enjoying a meal. The swimming pool, with its lounge chairs and sun umbrellas, beckons to be enjoyed.
Guests can enjoy covered parking - and a car is recommended as it isn't easy to reach with public transportation.
Alessia and Walter are on hand to welcome you with a warm greeting as well as to personalize your vacation according to your desires: they can organize cooking classes directly at the villa or a gourmet tour in the sourroundings, wine tastings at the B&B or at nearby wine estates, horseback rides starting from Villa Loghino or guided tours in Florence or Siena. When you book, make sure to share what you'd like during your stay and they will make it possible!
A minumim stay of 2 nights is requested for the bed and breakfast and if you're interested in renting the entire villa, a 3 night stay minimum is required. Prices are per room/apartment and only a range since each has its own rates (write to Alessia for a precise quote).

Meet Alessia, owner of Villa Loghino
I've always loved my family home. When I was small, I used to talk about the giant oak tree (it is over 500 years old!) in our garden which I believed contained the essence of life itself and the knowledge of the world, possessing magical powers. I went to Pisa to study and stayed to live and work, but my heart always longed to return to be in close touch with nature. Whether the house was full of family or friends or I was alone, I loved being here. And here is where all my dreams have come true!
In 2001, I decided to open the family home to welcome guests from across the world. I started the works of renovation with large plans and shortly thereafter destiny brough me Walter, my husband. He was the director of the building project, and love soon followed. From the very start, we have been together following our passion and love for this small paradise. Here at Villa Loghino I found the inspiration to dedicate myself to various interests and hobbies, including preparing cakes and jams that I share at breakfast with our guests. This is a tradition for me considering long ago my family owned one of the largest bakeries in Volterra. Today, we live here and are proud to offer you our "home" in the Tuscan countryside, happy to offer and provide suggestions and assistance to make the most of your vacation in Tuscany.
I look forward to welcoming you to Villa Loghino!
